Clock and Watch Museum

    This little museum in Klaipeda was opened in 1984 and from then pays a lot of attention to its unique job.
    Visitors of this museum have opportunity to learn about the history of timepieces, which are displayed and clearly shown in a developing order from primitive calendars to precise 20th century time measuring devices.
    Clocks exhibited in this museum show how clock – makers were influenced by various artistic styles, like Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and Art Nouveau through the ages.
    The museum has a summer garden with a complex sun clock. From this courtyard visitors can hear the post office carillon bells ring at noon on weekends.
